Privacy Policy

Mi-Casa Asset Management (hereinafter, the “Company”) is deeply aware of the importance of personal information and shall strive for the appropriate handling and protection of personal information through compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations, guidelines established by supervisory authorities, etc. (hereinafter collectively “Laws and Regulations, etc.”) as well as internal rules established to protect personal information.

1. Personal information shall be collected through legal and fair means to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose of use described in 2.
2. Personal information shall only be used when required by laws and Laws and Regulations, etc. and for the following purpose of use.
a to appropriately conduct operations related to the acquisition and sale of the assets of Japan Rental Housing Investments Inc. (hereinafter, the "Investment Corporation");
b to appropriately conduct the management of rent and other revenue concerning properties owned by the Investment Corporation and the management and operation of other assets of the Investment Corporation;
c to fulfill obligations related to the provision of information to investors in the Investment Corporation and obligations incurred by the Investment Corporation regarding investors;
d to smoothly conduct operations concerning fundraising, the issuance of Investment Corporation bonds and additional issuance of investment units of the Investment Corporation;
e to conduct various research and analysis concerning asset management and leasing operations of the Investment Corporation;
f to prepare various reports for the Investment Corporation based on the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations, the Corporate Act and other related laws and regulations, and to manage information on investors of the Investment Corporation; or
g to conduct operations incidental to or related to, the above A. through F.
3. The Company may engage in the following joint use of personal data.
Categories of personal data for joint use :
Address, name, date of birth, contact details (telephone number, email address, etc.), occupation, customer information (transaction needs, etc.), transaction details, and customer transaction information (deposit balance, etc.)
Scope of joint users :
The Company’s parent company, Daiwa Securities Group Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries.
Purpose of Use of joint users :
For the corporate management and internal control of the Daiwa Securities Group.

4. The Company shall not disclose or provide personal data to any third party unless the circumstances fall under either of the following.
a. where the concerned individual consents to disclosure;
b. where disclosure or provision is required by laws and regulations;
c. where disclosure or provision is necessary to prevent death or injury to persons or damage to property and it is difficult to obtain consent from said individual;
d. where it is particularly necessary to improve public health and to promote healthy child-rearing and it is difficult to obtain consent from said individual; or
e. where it is necessary for cooperation with the execution of administrative matters designated in laws and regulations conducted by national agencies or local government bodies or its contractors, and there is a concern that obtaining consent of said individual may hinder the execution of said administrative affairs.
f. where disclosure or provision is otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
5. The Company shall appropriately and carefully manage the personal information it collects and shall take safety and security measures to prevent illegal access to personal information as well as loss, damage, alteration, leakage or such of personal information. The Company may entrust in whole or in part the handling of personal information to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose of use to a separate party. In such cases, the Company will conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of the concerned entrusted party.
6. The Company will keep personal information accurate and updated and delete without delay any data of which use is no longer necessary. In addition, the disclosure of personal data in the possession of the Company shall be conducted according to the prescribed procedure of the Company. The Company shall promptly correct or delete the concerned data when disclosure reveals that the content of the information is inaccurate or wrong.
7. The Company will accordingly review this privacy policy with a change of Laws and Regulations and continuously improve it.
8.
